As we come towards the end of the season, nominations are now open for our annual club awards.

Each year, these awards recognise the teams, coaches and volunteers who have made a real contribution to Kissing Point FC during the season. We are seeking nominations for:

Club Spirit Award
For a team that has shown resilience, improved throughout the season or made a positive contribution to the club.

Ray & Di Brown Trophy – Friend of the Club
For a volunteer who regularly gives their time and works behind the scenes to support the club.

Rod Woods Memorial Trophy – Coach of the Season
For a coach who has made a real difference to their players or team during the season.

Please send your nomination, along with a brief explanation of why you are nominating them, to secretary@kpfc.asn.au by Monday, 24 August 2026.

There is no need for multiple nominations from the same team. Even if your nominee is not selected, we will share your comments with them so they know their contribution has been recognised and appreciated.

Hi everyone,

We are into the final month of the season and, while most competitions are coming to an end, there is still plenty happening around the club.

Trivia Night and Sydney FC Event

Our recent trivia night was a great success. Thank you to everyone who helped organise and to everyone who came along. A special thank you to Jodie, who put a huge amount of work making it happen.

We also held our Sydney FC event last Friday. Thank you to everyone involved, particularly Paula and Jess for pulling it all together.

Finals Football

Congratulations to all our teams that have won their divisions or made the finals. It is a great reward for the work put in by the players, coaches and managers throughout the season. 

Silence on the Sidelines

This weekend, 15 and 16 August, is NSFA’s Silence on the Sidelines Round.

The idea is to give junior players the chance to play, communicate with each other and make their own decisions without instructions being called from the sideline. Parents and spectators can still applaud and support the players but are asked to leave the coaching to the coaches. Please support the campaign this weekend and let the players play.

Presentation Days

Our Junior Presentation Day for Under 6 to Under 15 teams will be held at Auluba on Saturday 5 September.

Our Senior Presentation Night will be on Friday 11th September with the Under 16 to Under 18 presentations to be held before the Senior Presentation Night gets underway.

We will post further details shortly and provide to team managers.

Returning Shirts

As teams finish their season, managers will start asking players to return their playing shirts. We need to get the shirts back so we can work out exactly what we have, including sizes and numbers, and what we will need to order for 2027. Stockpiling or not returning only makes this more difficult for the club. 

Please return your shirt promptly when your team manager asks for it to ensure we have enough shirts for our teams in 2027.

Equipment Manager

We are looking for a new Equipment Manager for 2027. Our current Equipment Manager is stepping away after a few seasons in the role and has done a great job looking after this important part of the club. The role helps coordinate the equipment needed across the club and makes sure we are organised for the start of the 2027 season.

As the season comes to a close, thank you to everyone who has put so much time and effort into making football happen for our players each week. The club only works because of the contribution made by our coaches, managers, committee members and many other volunteers throughout the season.

Hi everyone,

We’re now heading into the back end of the season, and it’s been fantastic to see so much football played over the past few months. After the disruptions of recent seasons, we’ve been fortunate to enjoy some excellent weather, which has meant washouts and plenty of football across our grounds each weekend. 

The NSFA has recently published a competitions update and details will be passed onto team managers over the coming days.

There is plenty happening around the club over the coming weeks.

Trivia Night

Trivia Night is coming up on Saturday 25 July 2026 at 7.00pm at Turramurra High School! 

If you haven’t secured your spot yet, now is the time to book your table before they sell out. Gather your team of up to 10 people, get creative with your K or P-themed dress-up, and get ready for a fantastic night of trivia, raffles, games, auctions and plenty of laughs, all while supporting Kissing Point FC.

World Cup – England v Norway

Bacon and egg rolls will be available, however, these will need to be pre-ordered using the link below. Orders close at the end of business on Friday as this assists us with catering.

Sydney FC

Sydney FC will be visiting us on Friday 7th August to deliver some fun activations for our junior players and families. More details will be provided closer to the day.

Presentation Days

Our Junior (6s to 14s) Presentation Day will be held on Saturday 5 September.

Our Senior Presentation Night will be held on Friday 11 September. Presentations for our junior players in the 16s to 18s age groups will take place immediately beforehand.

Canteen Coordinator

We are still seeking a Canteen Coordinator to take on the role at the end of the season. The canteen is an important part of our club.  To ensure we have an operational canteen in 2027, we do need someone to take on this role. It could also be shared between two people if that makes it more manageable. If you are interested, or would like to find out more, please contact me.

Auluba Friday Nights

A reminder for all teams training at Auluba on Friday evenings that if equipment is left out after your session and there are no teams training after you, please ensure it is packed away.

We’ve also noticed an increase in rubbish being left around the fields on Friday nights, including uneaten food, serviettes and cans. If everyone can please take a few moments before leaving to dispose of rubbish and recycling appropriately, it will make the Saturday morning setup much easier for our volunteers.

After a couple of weekends of weather disruption, it was great to see teams back out on the pitch across the King’s Birthday long weekend.

There is plenty happening around the club over the coming weeks.

World Cup – Australia v Turkey

When: 14 June

Where: Auluba Clubhouse

Clubhouse open: 1.00pm

Kick Off: 2.00pm

Join us at Auluba as we cheer on Australia in the FIFA World Cup. Both the bar and BBQ will be open and there will be a raffle with some fantastic prizes.

State Cup Quarter Final

As a curtain raiser to the World Cup game, our G18 Diamond League team will take on Collaroy Cromer Strikers in the State Cup Quarter Final. Reaching the final eight is a fantastic achievement and the girls would appreciate your support.

Canteen Coordinator

We are seeking a canteen coordinator to take on the role at the end of the season. 

Amelia has been our coordinator for a few years, but due to increasing commitments is unable to continue in the role. Amelia has done a fantastic job, and we thank her for everything she has done. 

The canteen plays an important role in both fundraising and maintaining the strong sense of community that exists at KPFC. We will need this role filled to ensure kids and adults are well nourished and have access to beverages during the 2027 season.

RESPECT

As we move into the second half of the season, it is worth remembering that how we conduct ourselves on and off the field is just as important as the result. Whether you are a player, coach, manager, parent or supporter, we all have a role to play in creating a positive environment each weekend.

Respect for referees, opposition teams, volunteers and fellow club members should never depend on the scoreline. Thank you to the many members who continue to represent KPFC in the right way every week.

Match Day Requirements

Following feedback from referees over recent weeks, I would like to remind teams of a few match day requirements.

• Please ensure all players are wearing shin pads and the correct playing kit, including club socks. 
• Shirt numbers should remain consistent throughout the season and duplicate numbers should be avoided. 
• Referees have highlighted occasions where player identification for KPFC teams has been made difficult due to kit clashes (i.e. socks, shorts, old KPFC shirts), or incorrect numbering.
• For home matches, teams should also ensure a match ball and pump are available. 
• Do not try and “game” the match sheet by fielding ineligible players. You will be found out, and the club will be fined.

Whilst these may seem like simple details, getting the basics right helps players, referees and opposition teams focus on the game itself. It also assists in avoiding disputes and club fines.

Hi everyone,

After a few seasons where weather interruptions seemed to dominate the early part of the year, it has been great to get through the first six rounds of the season without disruption. Grounds have held up well, games have been played, and there has been a really positive atmosphere around the club each weekend.

Club Partners

I would also like to acknowledge the support of our club partners who continue to support KPFC and help the club continue to grow both on and off the field. Community football relies heavily on volunteers, but it also relies on businesses and people willing to support local sport and the broader community around it. You can find our club partners at the bottom of this email, and we encourage members to support them where possible.

Respect Campaign

As many of you would have seen, the NSFA Respect Campaign is continuing this season. One of the initiatives is the RESPECT captain armbands which reinforce the role captains can play in supporting positive behaviour on and off the field. If your team would like one, please contact your relevant VP who can help coordinate distribution.

Respect for referees, opposition players, volunteers and parents remains an important part of maintaining a positive environment across the club each weekend.

State Cup

Both our G18 Diamond League and Men’s Premier League teams will be playing their Round of 16 State Cup matches at Auluba on 31 May. The G18s kick off at 1:00pm against Cronulla Seagulls, followed by the Men’s team at 3:00pm against Fairfield.

It is a rare opportunity to see both teams play back-to-back and both teams would appreciate the support from the wider KPFC community

Clubhouse Fridays

Clubhouse Fridays continue throughout the season at Auluba when weather permits. It has been great to see players, parents and families from across the club coming together on Friday evenings and we’d encourage people to come down when they can.

Wet Weather

With recent wet weather, a reminder around wet weather communication processes. 

For training during the week, decisions are generally made around 3:00pm to 3:30pm where possible. Relevant VPs will then communicate with managers and the club will also update social media channels. 

For weekends, DRIBL will send notifications advising if games are postponed, cancelled or moved. Please also check the NSFA wet weather page in relation to ground status but note if your ground is closed your game still could be moved and DRIBL will be used to advise of any changes.

Club Equipment

Over the opening part of the season, we have experienced a number of equipment breakages and damage across goals, nets and other gear. We understand things wear over time and accidents happen, but we would ask everyone to take care with club equipment wherever possible. Replacing equipment ultimately impacts club costs and over time flows through to registration fees, so looking after shared equipment does make a difference.

Female Football Week

Last week was Female Football Week and it was a good opportunity to recognise how important female football has become within KPFC. Across the club we now have one of the strongest female football programs and communities in the association. That growth has happened because of the work of volunteers, coaches, parents and players over many years, and it is something the club should be proud of.

What stands out about KPFC is not simply results on the field. Wins, draws and losses will always come and go across a season. What makes a club strong is the people within it and how connected the club feels across teams, age groups and programs. Players supporting each other, volunteers giving up their time, coaches developing players, parents helping each weekend and people contributing because they care about the club and the community around it. That culture is not something every club has and it is a big part of what makes KPFC special.

A big thank you to all of the volunteers, coaches, managers, referees, parents and players who help make the club function each week both on and off the field.

Hi everyone,

I wanted to send a note now that I’ve stepped into the President role at Kissing Point Football Club.

Firstly, a big thank you to Nicole. She’s been a massive part of the club over a number of years, both as President and before that in women’s football. She’s put a huge amount of time and energy into the role and has had a big impact on where the club is today. The club is in a strong position because of that.

For those I haven’t met, I’ve been involved with the club for a while, particularly across girls’ football and the Diamond League program. It’s been great to see how the club has grown and the number of players now coming through across both social and development pathways.

From here, the focus is simple. Keep building on what’s already working, keep players at the centre of what we do, and make sure people enjoy being part of the club.

A big part of that is how we all behave around the game. As a club within the NSFA, we’re expected to uphold the RESPECT approach. In simple terms, that means playing by the rules, respecting referees and officials, and supporting players in the right way. Football is competitive, but it should always be played and watched in the right spirit.

The club runs on volunteers. Without the time and effort people put in across coaching, managing and behind the scenes, we simply wouldn’t have a club. Thank you to everyone who is contributing in those roles, it’s hugely appreciated. We’re lucky to have a really strong group of people involved, and it’s something that shouldn’t be taken for granted. If you’ve ever thought about helping out in some way please get in touch as there’s always an opportunity.

Presentation Days Saturday 30 August – Miniroos & Juniors (up to U15) Time: From 9:00am until early afternoon Activities: BBQ, fun photo opportunities, ice cream, and games (where permitted) Details: Please keep an eye on our social media channels for exact timings. Following the Presentation day we will see the men’s premier league teams kick off for one final time this season 1pm & 3pm. A full day of celebrating football awaits you all! Friday 5 September – U16–U18 & Adults U16-U18 from 530PM followed by the Adults Presentation Night from 7PM. Please note: the adult’s event is a social night and not suitable for kids.

Kisso Jerseys & Lost Property All players must return their washed game shirts to their team manager, who will return the full set to the club on presentation day.A season’s worth of lost property will be available for collection inside the clubhouse. Anything left unclaimed by 2:00pm on Saturday will be donated to charity. Lost property includes a mountain of water bottles that are available to be washed and claimed by a new owner – let’s save the environment.

Raffle & Fundraiser We’ll also be running a small Kisso fundraiser raffle. Thanks to the generosity of Workplace Law (a wonderful legal firm who loves football as much as us), we have two amazing prizes: Signed Melbourne City Men’s Shirt – featuring Socceroo Matt Leckie. Signed Melbourne City Women’s Shirt – including signatures from several Young Matildas, after their top-of-the-table season.These are collector’s items and a great way to our support the club in the process!

Unless we fill these roles, the club cannot run the way it does today. This is where YOU come in. Every single one of us is busy — jobs, kids, study, businesses, caregiving — but together, we make it work. You’ll never do it alone. You’ll be supported, appreciated, and part of something bigger.  Roles that must be filled: VP Miniroos — ideally a parent of a 6–7 year old. Nat & Rich have carried this for a decade — time to give them a break! VP Juniors — ideally a parent of a 12–13 year-old. Alia has done an incredible job but as her kids move on, so should she be allowed. Registrar — Aron is stepping down after many years. Half covered, but only if other roles are filled. JDL Coordinator — ideally a parent of a JDL 8–9 player. Christian has built something great — now we need someone to continue it. Manager of Men’s Prems — Rohan is moving overseas. We need someone to step in. NEW: Saturday Canteen Coordinator — bring back the Saturday BBQ! Community is asking for it, and it’s a key revenue stream. NEW: Club Technical Director — ensure our coaches and programs meet community needs. NEW: Juniors Coordinator — support the VP Juniors and strengthen this vital age group.

As we approach the end of the season, I am thrilled to see so many of our junior and senior teams in top 4 positions in their divisions. Our JDL program continues to thrive under the expert guidance of Vision Coaching, and our MiniRoos remain the most joyful and energetic players to watch!

26 July – Stewart Close Cup at Auluba Oval Our Men’s Premier League and Reserves teams will face local rivals West Pymble in the final leg of the Stewart Close Cup – a competition held for over two decades to honour two dedicated contributors from both clubs. This match is especially exciting as our Prems are on the brink of securing the NSFA Premier League title, something the club hasn’t achieved in over 20 years!  Kick-offs: Reserves at 1pm | Premier League at 3pm  The bar and BBQ will be running – come down and cheer them on!
