Volunteering

Kissing Point FC is run by volunteers. Players, parents and students who help make the club what it is – a positive, supportive community. As well as the busy Winter season of matches, there is a program of social events and our clubhouse activities, all of which rely on volunteers.

Volunteers support the club through ongoing roles (eg committee, coach or manager), ad-hoc roles (eg helping at events), or through Duke of Ed (for high school students).

If you would like to get involved as a volunteer, please contact our friendly Volunteers Coordinator.

Duke of Edinburgh

High school students participating in the Duke of Ed program are highly valued. Students are generally required from mid April to the end of August and can assist by:

  • dressing/undressing local ovals on Saturday/Sundays
  • assisting in the canteen on Friday evening or Saturday mornings
  • assisting with coaching U6-U11 teams once a week on weekdays

Contact our Duke of Edinburgh Coordinator for more information.

Working With Children (WWC) Check

The WWC Check is a NSW Government requirement that applies to people who work or volunteer directly with children (u18). Kissing Point FC has a stringent policy.

The following personnel for all teams (with the exception of 35+) must provide a WWC Number to our Member Protection Officer:

  • Coaches (and assistants)
  • Managers (and assistants)
  • Grading personnel
  • Committee members
  • Referees
  • Grounds volunteers

Note: Canteen volunteers and people under 18 years of age are exempt, but must complete a FNSW Members Protection Declaration and provide it to our Member Protection Officer (MPO). To download the form click here.

If you do not already have a WWC Number, apply on-line. The process only takes a few minutes. Tick “Volunteer” to avoid being charged $80, and for Sector, choose Clubs.

An application number will be generated. Print this sheet and take it to the nearest NSW Service Registry with proof of identity

After you have attended the Service Registry and been cleared, you will receive your WWC Number by email within a couple of weeks. Please email it to our Member Protection Officer along with your full name, date of birth and role at the club.
