More about SAP League

Skill Acquisition Phase (SAP) League is a new initiative from NSFA, starting in 2020. The NSFA news item is here. The league supports skill development for boys and girls U9 to U13, in a safe manner on small sided fields.

Kissing Point FC has a license to participate in the SAP League for U8 to U11 age groups in 2020. SAP League is essentially the top division for players in these age groups at community football level.  It underpins development for players aiming for Super League and Diamond League in Junior Competition and as a pathway to Northern Tigers for talented players.

  • 15 team competition from 12 clubs in each age group
  • Under 8 to Under 11 age groups in 2020
  • Minimum training twice per week with an experienced and certified coach
  • Overseen by an experienced and certified Technical Director and Club Coach Coordinator
  • Occasional training sessions and games with Northern Tigers teams
  • Games played at set locations including Gala Days
  • Training at Auluba oval

This new competition is played outside the normal Saturday competition where the majority of our Miniroos teams play. It does not diminish the community/participation aspect of football that is important at Kissing Point. SAP League provides a pathway for talented players to play the highest levels of football without having to leave the club.

There will be additional costs associated with SAP League to support coaching payments. In addition, there are expectations on players in terms of attendance and attitude at training and game days.  This environment will be the best possible learning environment for young players to increase their football skills and play the best teams from other participating clubs.
