Season Kick-Off

FANTASTIC news! The season will start from 4 July for EVERYONE. We are elated to hear that everyone can start playing in July, with the season going through to the weekend October 4.  Matches and training will continue through the July and September school holidays to maximise the season length, and there may be night games for some Junior and Senior teams. The first three rounds will be announced on Monday 15th June.

Key dates

As dates come through for key season events, you’ll find them here

Our coaches are doing a stellar job, delivering fantastic sessions under tricky circumstances. THANK YOU on behalf of the whole club. Likewise our members and parents have been very understanding and following the guidelines well – THANK YOU. A reminder that training must maintain no-contact, however 20 people per group will be allowed from this Saturday. We also ask that parents continue to observe social distancing and keep well back from the training fields. Current advice is that non-contact training is to continue until 1 July, following social distancing. If that changes, advice will be published.

New Sunday G6/G7  comp for girls
An exciting new girls only competition has been organised allowing young girls to play football on Sundays. It will be made up of a mix of clubs playing small sided games together from 9am-11am at Auluba and Montview (Hornsby North) alternatively each week, in a flexible format. We are hoping this will help attract girls to the game, friendship groups form and players stay with the club over the years, and most importantly the girls have fun playing football. Please email if you have questions or go ahead and register (remembering active kids voucher).

Still time to register!
We’d love to hear from anyone interested in playing, regardless of age or experience. Some teams have spots available. Please email the relevant VP for information or just go ahead and register.

Registration and fees
As the season length has only just been determined, and we have not as yet been provided costs (NSFA team fees, insurance etc), we are in the process of determining altered registration fees and refunds for excess for those who have already paid. We will be in contact once that information is at hand.

Make sure your player has boots, shin pads, Kisso shorts and Kisso socks. There are two opportunities coming up at Auluba to buy shorts, socks and jackets or to pick up a pre-order. 20 June (9-11am) and 26 June (5:30-7:30pm). CARD only. For enquiries, email Rochelle at

Dressing and undressing fields
Teams will be rostered on to set-up and pack-down nets at Auluba, Howson and Comenarra. Your manager will have details. If your team plays first or last at one of these fields, you are likely to be involved. It’s a simple but important job.

Clubhouse Fridays and Saturday canteen
We have been disappointed to miss out on Clubhouse Fridays. Usually, the centre of our social scene, it has been very strange these last few months without it. We’ll make an announcement shortly about this once we determine when it’s safe to open up. We’re also assessing how Saturday mornings could work.

One-on-one coach – Tim Suggate
If you or your player is interested in one-on-one coaching, we highly recommend Tim Suggate. Tim is a long time Kissing Point all age player and professional coach with many years of experience. Tim can run sessions tailored to your needs and designed to refine your technical skills. For more details, please contact Tim at

Talk to Peter at Century 21
If you’re selling your home or you know someone who is, we would LOVE for you to use Century 21 Radar Properties. Peter Brack will donate 10% of net sales commission to the club for any sale resulting from a member referral. And those funds can be used to make the club even more awesome (e.g. towards kit and coach development). Peter will also donate $500 for any rental property that switches to Century 21. All you need to do is tell Peter that you are from Kisso or a Kisso member sent you. Easy!

Health and Safety
It’s up to all of us to keep each other safe at training and on match days. Please read and adhere to

Winter/Summer sport
Football NSW has been working with the NSW Office of Sport, other associations (e.g. Cricket NSW) and local councils to ’share the pain’ of the Covid situation. We are grateful to our friends who participate in Summer sports for accommodating the new end date for Winter sport. It’s important to note that decisions about season dates are being made at the Association level, not by individual clubs.

As always please contact me (0410528575) if you’d like to talk anything through.

Best of luck for the upcoming season. I’m looking forward to seeing that famous Kisso spirit on the pitch.
