Pre-Season Events

A big welcome to all our new families. It’s terrific to have you with us. There are lots of events coming up in February. Please check the list below.

OPEN DAY – Sunday 14 Feb, 9am-1pm. AULUBA
Perfect if you’re new to the club. Pop in anytime between 9am and 1am. Buy your shorts and socks. Ask questions and get help with registration. Bring any too-small boots along for the Boot Swap. Please encourage your friends to pop in if they are thinking of registering.

Grading for some age groups is on this Sunday at North Turramurra Recreation Area. Check below to see if this applies to your player. Players must be registered before attending grading. If your player participated in November trials, this session does not apply.

2-3pm – U9, U11, U12, U13  (NB for U9 and U11, grading is for new players wanting to be considered for SAP and Development teams. )
3.10–4.10pm – U14, U15, U16, U18
4.30–6pm – All Age (18+)

Please arrive 15 minutes prior to the start time. Players must have have boots, shin pads, water and sunscreen. Any questions, or to advise that your player cannot attend the grading session but is registered to play, please email:

LADIES NIGHT – Friday 19 Feb 6:30-9pm. HOWSON.
For female players aged 18 and over. All existing and potential players are invited to LADIES NIGHT at Howson Oval.
6:30pm – catch up and warm-up
7pm – kick-around*
afterwards (until 9pm) – social – BYO drinks and snacks
*The kick-around is for everyone to have some time on the ball, and to allow our coaches to informally grade players for the season ahead. INTRO TO FOOTBALL – Thursday 25 Feb 5-6:30pm. AULUBA
A chance for our youngest players to have a kick-around and an opportunity for everyone to buy shorts, socks and check out the Boot Swap.

Any players who have not yet registered, please do so now. As you can appreciate, we must know if you’re playing so we can place you in a team, particularly for juniors mixed and girls teams as they fill up. NSFA’s due dates for team submissions are now upon us. Just click here and follow the prompts.

If you’re planning to volunteer as a coach or assistant coach, check out the Coaching page on the website asap. There are free short courses happening in March and you will definitely want to sign up for one of these. If you know a young person (U16 or over) who would like to volunteer as an assistant coach, please email Aron at

Training starts at different times for different teams and you’ll receive email advice shortly about when you player starts. SAP/Dev teams commence early March, with other teams in early April. All other dates are listed on the website at Please refer to this page for season start/end, events etc.
