Thank you to everyone who has registered – welcome to our new families and welcome back to our returning players!

Most Junior and Senior teams are already formed and some have just a few vacancies. There is still room for more miniroos, particularly in the younger age groups. Please register now if you are thinking of doing so.

Miniroos (U6-U11 and G6-G11):
We’d love more players in our youngest age groups (U6-U11 and G6-G11), in particular U11. Please:

Kisso is run by volunteers, and roles come up from time to time. Please consider putting your hand up – it’s a really rewarding way to be part of the club.

VP Junior Comp – Jeremy Tucker is stepping down now that his son is no longer in this age group (and has taken up Club Vice President Role). This role would suit someone organised and approachable, possibly with a player in U12-U18. Jez has already done most of the work for Season 2021, so it’s a perfect time to get started! Email Jez at

VP All Age – As above, we need someone to help the senior men’s teams for the rest of this season. Email Jez at

Clubhouse Assistant – If you have an RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol) certificate, and/or some time to spare on Friday nights or Saturdays, contact Tineke at

Miniroos (U6-U11 and G6-G11)
Come to ‘Miniroos Meet the Team Night’ Thursday 18 March, at Auluba. Geared towards parents, this event includes presentations about coaching, kit, training and match day expectations plus more. We’ll have the BBQ going and the BAR will be open for the first time in a long time! Socialise with other parents from your child’s team and finalise who will volunteer as manager and coach. Children are welcome, and can have a run on the oval while you listen to talks in the clubhouse. If you’ve ordered shorts and socks, you can pick them up on the night. Shorts and socks will be available for sale, and our Boot Swap is on (bring along any too-small boots).

Please mark your diary:

Junior Comp (U12-U18 and G12-G18)
Coaches or managers, please come to Auluba on 18 March to collect the team’s kit bag. All junior comp parents are welcome to drop in to buy shorts and socks, or just to socialise. Everyone is welcome to drop in between 6pm and 8pm, Thursday 18 March.

Girls Meetup (G12-G18)
Parents and players – watch your inbox for details of a special Meetup event including a kick-around, on the evening of Friday 19 March. Please save the date.

We have a range of policies at the club and all members must abide by the Code of Conduct in particular within the FFA National Member Protection Policy that applies to all members and spectators (please read Part B of this with code of conducts for players, coaches and parents/guardians). Essentially, it requires everyone to be respectful at all times. Culum Brown is our club’s Member Protection Information Officer. He is your first port of call if you have any issues. You can email Culum at or call him on 0439 343 341. For more details refer to the Issue Resolution page on the website. We will provide more information on this at our events and in communication leading into the season.

If you are volunteering as a coach or a manager, you will need a valid Working With Children check. These expire after five years – please check that yours will be valid for the season. Click here for details.

Miniroos Coach/Manager Meetup – 26 March
If you are volunteering as Coach, Assistant Coach or Manager for a Miniroos team (U6-U11, G6-G11), come to the clubhouse on Friday 26 March. Managers collect your kit bag and hear details about your role. Coaches our XLR8 partners will run you through a Grassroots Certificate course (U6-U8) or a Skill Training Refresher (U9-U11). Plan to arrive by 6pm. We should be all finished by 8pm. Coaches should wear suitable clothing for training.

If you can’t attend on the 26th, or you’re coaching a team in an older age group, please note other coaching courses are coming up very soon (see below). Please enrol in one of these excellent free sessions. They are held nearby, in the evenings or on weekends to fit in with working parents. We’d like:
all Miniroos U6-U11 coaches to at least get a Miniroos Grassroots certificate;
more experienced coaches in the older age brackets or dev teams to undertake Skills Training (U9-U13) and Game Training (U14+) courses
* Grassroots Course – for coaches of U6-U8
* Skills Training Course – for coaches of U9-U13
* Game Training Course – for coaches of U14 -U16

Thank you to all of our volunteers (committee, age group coordinators, coaches, managers, canteen assistants and many more) who are very busy organising the upcoming season. You are what makes this club so great.

A special thanks to Liam Kendrick who has stepped down from the committee after serving as our VP Mens All Age last year and all age mens Div1/2 squad manager for many years, and played a large part in keeping the spirit within our mens AA Div 2 team securing promotion to Premier League last year.

That’s it for now. Don’t forget to follow our Facebook page for updates.

If you have questions please contact the relevant committee member of coordinator. If you have a general enquiry, or you’re not sure who to contact, please start with our secretary Tanya, or call me on 0410 528 575.

See you out on the pitch.
